Nannycare Stage 3 is a growing up / toddler milk for children from 1 to 3 years, made from whole A2 goat milk and designed to sit alongside a normal family diet – not to replace solid meals. It comes from the UK’s goat milk formula specialists, with more than 30 years spent working only on goat milk nutrition, and every tin is produced in New Zealand at the farmer-owned Dairy Goat Co-operative.
The milk is left whole, exactly as in Stages 1 and 2: no skimmed milk and no added whey, so there is none of the beta-lactoglobulin whey protein that a lot of sensitive tummies react to. No palm oil, coconut oil or fish oil is added either, and the recipe contains no soy, starch, maltodextrin, corn syrup or added sugars – the only carbohydrate is lactose. The milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) stays where it naturally belongs, the DHA comes from algal oil (a fish-free omega-3), and the recipe keeps the 2′-FL oligosaccharide that was added to the range recently. Goat milk is naturally rich in A2-type proteins and forms softer, smaller curds than cow’s milk.
Per 100 ml of prepared drink the current recipe provides 59 kcal, 1.2 g protein, 3.1 g fat (1.1 g saturated, 1.5 g monounsaturated, 0.48 g polyunsaturated), 6.7 g carbohydrate (all lactose), 0.027 g 2′-FL, 14 mg DHA, 0.90 mg iron, 59 mg calcium, 1.5 mcg vitamin D3 and only 0.04 g salt. Toddler milk is deliberately lighter than first-stage formula – from 12 months most of the diet comes from food, and the drink fills the gaps: iron contributes to normal cognitive development, while calcium and vitamin D contribute to normal growth and bone development.
Preparation uses the larger scoop that comes in the current tin: 1 level scoop (5.1 g) to every 40 ml of water, so one serving is 160 ml of water plus 4 scoops, which makes a 175 ml beaker. Around 350 ml a day is recommended, divided into two servings. One 800 g tin makes approximately 6.2 litres of prepared toddler milk. Serve it in a beaker rather than a bottle wherever possible and clean teeth after the last drink of the night. Nannycare is not certified organic, and goat milk formula is not suitable for children with a diagnosed cow’s milk protein allergy or lactose intolerance – always speak to your doctor or health visitor before switching.
Pasteurised whole goat milk, lactose (from milk), vegetable oil blend (high oleic sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, antioxidants (sunflower lecithin, tocopherol-rich extract)), pasteurised goat milk powders, oil from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp., calcium citrate, 2′-fucosyllactose (from milk), choline chloride, dicalcium phosphate, sodium citrate, L-tyrosine, calcium hydroxide, L-cystine, L-isoleucine, ferrous sulphate, taurine, DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, L-ascorbic acid, zinc sulphate, potassium chloride, inositol, nicotinamide, cholecalciferol, retinyl acetate, L-carnitine, calcium D-pantothenate, cyanocobalamin, copper sulphate, phytonadione, thiamin hydrochloride, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, manganese sulphate, folic acid, potassium iodide, sodium selenite, D-biotin.

Powdered formula is not sterile, so please follow these instructions carefully. Failure to follow them may make your child ill.
1. Wash your hands well before preparing the drink. Boil 1 litre of fresh tap water and leave it to cool for no more than 30 minutes – the water needs to be at least 70 degrees C. Do not use water that has been artificially softened or water that has already been boiled. Measure 160 ml of the cooled, boiled water into a clean beaker, taking care not to scald yourself.
2. Using the scoop provided, add 4 level scoops of powder – always 1 level scoop (5.1 g) for each 40 ml of water – and level each scoop off with the leveller built into the rim of the tin.
3. Put the lid on the beaker and shake well until the powder has fully dissolved.
4. If the drink is too warm, cool the beaker under a running cold tap, then test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding.
Storage and safety: keep the unopened tin in a cool, dry place – do not refrigerate. Once opened keep it airtight in a cool, dry place and use the contents within 4 weeks. Make up each drink fresh, never store made-up drinks, use them within 2 hours at most and always discard anything unfinished. Do not heat drinks in a microwave as hot spots may occur and cause scalding, and do not add extra scoops or anything else to your toddler’s drink. To promote dental health, use a beaker in preference to a bottle and clean your child’s teeth after the last drink at night. Never leave your child alone during feeding.
| Cooled, boiled water per beaker | Level scoops of powder |

It is recommended that your toddler drinks around 350 ml of Nannycare Toddler Milk per day as part of a balanced and varied diet, divided into 2 servings depending on their individual needs. Nannycare Stage 3 is suitable for children from 1 to 3 years and should never be used as a breast milk substitute. This information is given as a guide only – your toddler may need more or less.
