Nannycare Stage 1 is a first infant milk made from whole A2 goat milk, suitable from birth and right through the first year. It comes from the UK’s goat milk formula specialists, who have worked exclusively on goat milk nutrition for more than 30 years, and every tin is produced by the farmer-owned Dairy Goat Co-operative in New Zealand.
Rather than rebuilding the milk, Nannycare keeps the recipe and the processing simple. Whole goat milk stays whole – no skimmed milk and no added whey protein – so the milk fat remains exactly as it occurs naturally and no palm oil, coconut oil or fish oil needs to be added. The formula is also free from soy, corn syrup, maltodextrin and added sugars; the only carbohydrate is lactose, the same sugar found in breast milk.
Stage 1 now includes 2′-FL, a human milk oligosaccharide (HMO) found naturally in breast milk, together with plant-based DHA from algal oil instead of fish oil. Both support brain, eye and nervous system development during the first months, while the A2-type proteins in goat milk form softer, smaller curds than cow’s milk – something many parents find gentler on a newborn’s tummy.
One 800 g tin makes approximately 5.6 litres of prepared formula (around 189 fl oz). Use the scoop provided: 1 level scoop (4.3 g) to every 30 ml of water. Please note that goat milk formula is not suitable for babies with a diagnosed cow’s milk protein allergy or lactose intolerance – always speak to your doctor or health visitor before switching formula.

Powdered formula is not sterile, so please follow these instructions carefully. Failure to follow them may make your baby ill.
1. Wash your hands, then sterilise all feeding equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Boil 1 litre of fresh tap water and leave it to cool for no more than 30 minutes – the water needs to be at least 70 degrees C. Do not use artificially softened water or water that has already been boiled. Pour the required amount of water (see the feeding guide) into a sterilised bottle and be careful of scalding.
3. Using only the scoop provided, lightly fill it with powder and level it off with the leveller built into the rim of the tin. Add the required number of scoops.
4. Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well until the powder is fully dissolved.
5. Cool the bottle under a running cold tap until it is lukewarm, test the temperature on the inside of your wrist, then feed immediately.
Important: use only the 4.3 g scoop provided and add 1 level scoop to every 30 ml of cooled, boiled water. Make up each feed fresh, never store made-up feeds, use within 2 hours at most and always discard unfinished feeds. Do not add extra scoops or anything else to your baby’s feed, do not heat in a microwave, and do not leave your child alone while feeding.
